Shadowing the Gene Pool

As children morph from youth to adulthood and as adults transition into being elderly, attitudes and personalities change, the nature of work and play transforms, and relationships are forged, evolve, and sometimes fall apart. This body of work explores the psychological evolution that takes place from child to adult to old age.

Produced with a 19th-Century Al-Vista Model 5D panoramic camera that had belonged to her great-grandfather, the artist hand-loaded 5″ x 14″ film into the camera one sheet at a time. The negatives were then contact printed onto gelatin silver paper.
