Rockland Photo Linen prints
What does it feel like to long for a child? To have a child? To age? To have a loved one sicken and die? This work examines from an emotional standpoint the linear progression of our lives from birth to death.
Printing on fabric allowed each collaged photograph to be fashioned into a scroll, a form that emphasizes the recording and passing on of knowledge to both current and future generations. Rockland Photo Linen was manufactured by coating light sensitive emulsion onto rolls of cotton fabric. The linen was then exposed and processed just like black & white photographic paper.
